Breast augmentation is a surgery that enhances your breasts’ shape and volume through the use of implants, yielding very natural results. It is one of the most frequently performed procedures in plastic surgery.

The objective of this procedure is to improve the size and shape of the breasts of women in cases where the patient wishes to enhance her bust and improve her figure, when after pregnancy or lactation her breasts have become smaller, to correct an uncomfortable difference in size between her two breasts, or following a mastectomy.

Type of procedure

Surgery under general and nerve block anaesthesia, guided by high-resolution ultrasound to minimise postoperative pain.

Recovery

1 to 2 weeks.
A post-surgery bra is worn.

Surgery

A 1-2 hour procedure.
Requires an overnight stay.
Bandages or dressings are used.

Before and after
Replacement of prostheses due to severe contracture and skin remodeling.

Benefits

Breast augmentation can solve problems related to the size, volume and symmetry of your breasts, as well as mastectomy-related issues. With an enhanced and harmonised bust, you’ll feel the way you always wanted to, gaining greater confidence, assuredness and self-esteem.

Are you the ideal candidate?

The ideal candidate for breast augmentation is any woman seeking to improve the appearance of her breasts. In addition to those seeking the procedure for aesthetic reasons, it is also important to consider all those women doing so to correct the effects of mastectomies.

The procedure

We always perform breast augmentation surgery in our operating rooms. You will remain at the hospital the night after the surgery, leaving the hospital the next day. The operation is generally carried out under general anaesthesia, and takes 2-4 hours.

Back to normal

Most of our patients who undergo breast augmentation surgery feel fine in 2 days and, depending on their regular activities, are able to return to work soon. After the procedure you can get mammograms without any problem. You simply have to notify the doctor that you have implants. You won’t have any problems breastfeeding either, should you wish to get pregnant.

The results

Breast augmentation yields excellent results. In most cases the results are permanent.

Postoperative recovery

After surgery, and especially during the first 24-48 hours, it is normal for you to feel tired. Once you have overcome this feeling, depending on your activity levels, you can almost resume your regular routine.

Our guarantee

Every year we successfully perform augmentation mammoplasty procedures. Patients can rely on our qualified plastic surgeons. Complications are rare and tend to be minor. Breast augmentation is a safe technique. However, as is the case with any surgery, there is always the possibility of complications.
